Privacy policy
Last updated: October 2026
This policy explains what personal information Harry Armstrong Coaching collects, why, and what your rights are. It's written in plain English. If anything's unclear, message me.
Who I am
Harry Armstrong Coaching is run by Harry Armstrong, based in Chorley, Lancashire, UK. I'm the data controller for the information described here. You can contact me on WhatsApp at 07821 640484 or via Instagram at @harryarmstrongcoaching.
What I collect
- When you book a call: your name, email, WhatsApp number, your goals, your biggest challenge and how ready you are to make a change.
- If you become a client: training history, body measurements, progress photos, nutrition information, training data from your devices and any health information you choose to share so I can coach you safely.
- When you message me: whatever you send on WhatsApp, Instagram or email.
Why I use it
- To prepare for and run your strategy call.
- To build and deliver your coaching programme.
- To reply to your messages.
- To share client results publicly, only with your explicit permission.
The legal bases are your consent, the steps needed to enter into or deliver a coaching agreement with you, and my legitimate interest in replying to enquiries. Health information is only used with your explicit consent.
Who else sees it
I use trusted services to run the business. They process your data on my behalf:
- Calendly for booking calls
- Zoom for calls
- WhatsApp and Loom for messages and video feedback
- Everfit and TrainingPeaks for programming and tracking
- Stripe for payments
Some of these are based outside the UK. Where that's the case, they use recognised safeguards for international transfers. I never sell your data.
How long I keep it
If you book a call and don't become a client, I delete your details within 12 months. Client records are kept for as long as you're coaching with me and up to 6 years afterwards for tax and legal purposes. Progress photos are deleted when you ask, or when coaching ends unless you've agreed otherwise.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to how it's used, ask me to limit its use, or ask for a copy to take elsewhere. You can withdraw consent at any time, including for the use of your photos. Just message me.
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
